Mandatory requirements:

- You have a degree with specialization in disciplines such as hydrology, biology, chemistry, or water resources.
- You have a valid class G Ontario driver's license to conduct field work in multiple job locations within the region.

Technical skills:

- You have demonstrated experience and knowledge in all aspects of hydrology, including water resource management, surface water assessments, quality and quantity investigation and remediation.
- You have the ability to conduct field investigations and prepare reports.
- You have the ability to interpret and apply relevant environmental legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
- You have demonstrated and applied research, investigative, analytical, problem-solving and project/time management skills.

Communication skills:

- You have communication skills to prepare and present technical assessments, recommendations and scientific reports.
- You have writing skills to prepare minister's correspondence, briefing notes, and other documents.
- You have communication and presentation skills to present scientific and opinion information as expert testimony before the courts.

Computer skills:

- You have proficiency in computer modeling and other software applications to utilize and support data analysis, evaluation and report preparation activities.
