Dave Lentz and I organize the NEIGC 2023 trips (NEIGC - New England Intercollegiate Geological Conference) in northern Maine and western New Brunswick for October 6-8. Now we have 12 trips in total with half of it - 6 - involving economic geology. Most other trips are about bedrock geology and tectonics of the Maine Northern Appalachians. The website contains more information about the NEIGC 2023 and description of each trip: https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/5dba93241a084f519130df50ac85f7a8
A significant amount of funds has been raised to help cut costs for trip attendees, in particular for students, for example, a student will pay only US$10 for everything including registration, Friday full-scale reception, Saturday banquet, and full-color guidebook. Non-student attendees will pay US$45 for all these. The meeting place is at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Presque Isle. We offer our modern fitness center for indoor camping, in particular for students and their advisors, free of charge.
À noter que le camp de base et la plupart des excursions sont aux États-Unis. Il vous faut donc un passeport valide et possiblement un visa.
